H-60 Navy A & B Bridge Tool Kits

Designed for the removal and installation of SH-60, MH-60R, MH-60S, and S-70 aircraft forward and aft bridge assembly components.

With hands-on input from Navy H-60 maintainers, these tools are purpose-built. The tools are made from materials and coatings allowing for zero maintenance-induced damage. Superior to conventional methods, the Bridge Tool Kits enable a significant reduction in maintenance labor hours and maintenance induced damage risk (case gouges and displaced dowel pins) to transmissions and components when performing 5-pack transmission main module and/or associated transmission component maintenance.

H-60 Bridge Tools are in two kits – BRIDGE TOOL SET; P/N: 07180A01; NSN: 5210015831759, (aka Navy A kit) and ECCENTRIC/TIE ROD PULLER CASE WITH TOOLS; P/N: 09414A01; NSN: 1720016625673, (aka Navy B kit). Both kits come in waterproof, floatable cases and each tool /case position is specially marked to reduce aircraft FOD risk.

Commercial price versus government price list is available upon request.

Benefits

Labor Savings

  • The Bridge Tool Kits reduce/eliminate bridge component damage risk during main transmission removal process: both on and off aircraft maintenance. This includes phases, Time Between Overhaul, and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • A Navy study found that up to 75% less labor is required for bridge 5-pack removal per aircraft.

Increased Quality and Cost Avoidance

  • The positive alignment of the Bridge Tools prevents collateral damage to bridge components (gearbox transmission, dowel pins and case, bellcranks, tie rods, longitudinal support, etc.).
  • There’s no need for screwdrivers, pry bars, or 2x4s risking damage to components (transmission case, supports, swashplates, bellcrank supports, etc.).
  • The use of the Bridge Tools results in no gouges to bridges or transmission cases and no gearbox dowel pins being displaced or pulling out.

H-60 Bridge Tool Kits:

  • Reduce total maintenance hours by up to 75%
  • Prevent costs by eliminating maintenance-induced damage
  • Increase first pass yield and reduce costs

Bottom Line

Using EVC’s H-60 Bridge Tool Kits results in an average savings of 48 to 52 labor hours per complete transmission removal event. And there’s no damage to associated components from conventional maintenance techniques. Plus, it increases first-pass quality yield to 100%!

A potential return on investment is realized immediately by eliminating a single damage event to just one (1) transmission case, tie rods, or other associated transmission components.

The H-60 Bridge Tool Kits have the right tools for the right job. They improve maintenance process time and quality while reducing costs. The tool kits are approved for use by PM-299 Program Office, Lakehurst, and FRC-East.
